Off-Road Adventures [Outfit]

Part of what I think life is all about is spontaneity and adventure. I went exploring in a historical part of Freehold, New Jersey with my friend the other day and we didn't miss an opportunity to pull off the road and take pictures underneath an amazingly old railroad.

The stone archway we took photos under, with the railroad directly on top, was dated 1922. One of the main reasons I love experiences like this and history in general is the connection with those that came before us. I wonder who has been in the same places that I have and what their lives were like.

I got a bit carried away with photos, but I hope you enjoy them!

My Road Trip Basics

When I'm planning & packing for a road trip there are a few things I consider essential.

1. Coffee - Let's be honest, coffee, for me, is always essential and road trips are no exception!
2. Leggings - Comfortable clothing is crucial when you're going to be sat in a car for hours, I personally love road trips, but skinny jeans can't compete with leggings when it comes to comfort on the trip.
3. Simple Makeup - I like to have the basics on when I'm traveling, I think wearing a bit of make up helps me look and feel more awake, which is definitely important for miles of driving. My go to makeup for a road trip is a bit of concealer, mascara, powder and of course, eyebrows.
4. Small Bills - Money is important, but having smaller amounts helps with tolls and unexpected stops!
5. A Portable/Car Charger - This is so important! Whether it is a car charger or a portable charger, having a back up battery for your phone or gps device is really helpful!
6. Amazing Music - Driving and music go hand-in-hand for me & on a road trip I need my favorite music to accompany me!! Turning up the volume and singing along is my specialty.

If you're going on a road trip soon maybe some of these essentials will make it on your list, but what are your current necessities for a road trip?

Shoot for the Stars [Lush]

One sure fire way for me to relax is to take a long, undisturbed bath. When I need extra relaxation and a little pick me up, a Lush bath bomb does the trick.

Recently I used the "Shoot for the Stars" bath bomb, which turned my water an amazing purple  & green color, but it gets better! The water filled with loads of silver glitter and stars. While it might not be for an everyday bath, a bit of glitter & a warm bath can cheer up even the dreariest of days.

Thanks for reading!

Sparkle & Kate Spade

I am all about the sparkle and when shopping for a case for my iPad, Kate Spade did not disappoint. There is something to be said about a case that adds the perfect amount of rose-gold glitter into your life.

I am also loving this beautiful clutch set from Bath & Body Works, my sister gifted to me for Christmas!

I'm excited to use all of these throughout the year & to add a bit of glitter into my everyday life, because who doesn't love glitter?
