September is a month that brings much joy to me. There are two main reasons for this, both of which I will conveniently be posting about on this space. The first is today, which marks the official first day of fall! The second is National Coffee Day, which comes at the end of this month.
Autumn is by far my favorite season, it brings the holidays, the crisp air, the warm clothes, the pumpkin flavored goodies, delicious lattes and cozy evenings by the fire. The thought of these things as I'm writing this is enough to make me fall obsessed all over again.
It seems fitting for me to show you one of the Autumn outfits I am looking forward to wearing:

Life: Applesauce Day
One of my favorite Fall traditions is called Applesauce Day. My grandma, cousins, and I make applesauce from scratch all day. This year the weather was chilly and the air was crisp -- definition of a perfect Fall day.
While the recipe is a family secret, the process of making the applesauce is quite interesting. We slice the apples and boil them to a mush. The we place them in a nifty machine that separates the good applesauce from the peels. My cousins and I are able to spice each bowl to taste & replicate grandma's recipe perfectly!
Then we put it in containers & freeze it so that it will last until the next Fall! YUM!
What Fall traditions do you have?
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!!
Have a lovely day! xoxo

Hello Autumn, I love you.
Fall is by far my favorite season and October is definitely my favorite month. The 65 degree weather, colorful assortment of leaves, candles, cider, coffees, holidays, and desserts are just a few reasons why this season trumps all the others. I know I am not alone in my love for Autumn and decided to write a post showing you how I made my rooms cozy and festive for fall. I live between two different houses right now while I am at university, so I had a rare opportunity to decorate two very different rooms - I didn't mind!
My First room is definitely on the girly fairy tale side of decor, but done in a more mature way, considering I am nineteen years old;but who doesn't love a good bit of magic every now and then.
I found these twinkle lights or white christmas lights at target for $2 .50 each and only needed two packs to light and entire wall in my room. I used clear command strip hooks and hung them to my wall, simple and basically effortless. I also found this AMAZING wall decal on sale for $2 .50 as well and decided that it added the sweet and girly vibe I was going for in this room.

I accented with orange to tie in all of the fall pieces I wanted to add. I have a few mini pumpkins scattered around the room, along with a vase of flowers, though they are fake which is not normally my taste, I fell in love with the colors and loved how they looked in the room. I also found a strand of leaves that went perfectly across my calender and favorite quote of all time "Dwell in possibilities" By Emily Dickinson! I must say, finishing with my favorite Bath & Body Works candle "Leaves" brings the perfect fall scent to my newly decorated room!
My Second Room has black furniture with burgundy accents, so naturally I pulled out the burgundy, orange, and brown, colors of Fall. I purchased most of my decorations from Target for a bargain price of $13 and was pretty proud of that accomplishment! Overall I was happy with the cozy and warm colors, especially when burning my favorite fall scents (Fall Candle Blog Coming Soon!)

Have a lovely day!! :) xoxo
